A beautifully complementary pair of vintage English red transferware plates, featuring two classic patterns from renowned Staffordshire pottery makers Mason’s and John Maddock & Sons.
The first plate features the Bombay pattern by John Maddock & Sons, with an intricate central scene depicting a decorative floral urn alongside a sailing boat and distant landscape. Ornate floral bouquets, scrolling motifs and a softly scalloped border complete its romantic design.
The second is the celebrated Vista pattern by Mason’s, featuring an English country estate surrounded by mature trees and figures, framed by an elaborate grapevine and foliage border. Its gently scalloped edge adds further texture and character.
Although produced by different makers, the shared rich red transferware palette and traditional English imagery make the two plates particularly beautiful displayed together. Ideal styled on a plate wall, dresser, kitchen shelf or individually on stands as decorative pieces.
Measurements: Plate 1 - 25 cm & Plate 2 - 26.5 cm
Please note that these are vintage pieces and may show signs of age and previous use, including minor variations, crazing or surface wear, which form part of their individual character.
Free pickup available in Belair, South Australia. Shipping Australia wide, which will be invoiced upon purchase.
